As owner and principal for over 15 years of one of F1's most recognisable teams, Ligier made his mark on F1. But few remembered his own forays into F1 racing as a driver, and that Guy was a sportsman sans par in his youth, excelling at rowing, rugby and motorcycling before turning his attention to four-wheel racing.
