For 20 years, Posey was omnipresent in US racing circles. His two drives in F1 were almost unnoticeable in a career spanning almost every major category and event, from Can-Am, Trans-Am, ICM, Formula A, IMSA and Formula 5000, to the Daytona 24hrs, Le Mans 24hrs, Indy 500 and Bathurst 1000.

1965 • Competed in Formula Vee.
1966 • Competed in sports car races in a Porsche 904 GTS.
• International Sportscar Championship, 3 starts in a Porsche 904 GTS, Filippo Theodoli Alfa Romeo Giulia TZ2, and a Prototipi Bizzarini GT Strada 530 with various drivers.
