Success in Italian F3 saw Williams drafted into the Ferrari works team for 1967, but he only received one F1 outing before Ferrari showed him the door. A varied career in F2 and sportscars followed, including driving the camera car at the 1970 Le Mans 24 hrs for Steve McQueen's epic movie.
