I wonder why he didn't spam the JDD forum?

'Cause they sold him a phone right before the 1995 European Grand Prix...that must have been what Deletraz was doing, making a phone call :o

I've deleted it, and I hope that you do not object to the fact that I also removed the link that spammer had put up from your post as a precaution.

They are getting ever more sneakier. Without the links in the sig, that one could almost pass as a normal member.

How are the spammers getting through the system? Or are they human spammers now?

I wouldn't be surprised if some of those accounts were initially registered by a person before being turned over to a spambot given the current account registration procedures. Unless, that is, some spammers have found a way to program their spambots to get around the normal checks (it is a weird irony that spammers are one of the driving forces being artificial intelligence in their efforts to break through traditional forum safeguards).

I think we can safely assume any 'member' who puts a website that isn't Twitter, Blogger, etc in their profile when signing up is a spammer. It's a good indicator between the real deal and a spam machine.

I'm not sure if this one's a bot or just some idiot thinking it's OK to post streams. This one has turned up at a few other race discussion threads over the months with links to streams though...

Either way, given that he has been warned before (he had put up another two posts with streaming links, both of which have been redacted), in this case I have decided to delete his post entirely. I know it's a little harsh if he is just a misguided fan, but given that he has already been warned before he should have anticipated that (and if he is a bot then deleting the post is OK).
