Well well well well well. To be in the top 10, no, comfortably inside the top 10 on my debut in this series is simply amazing! I've outsripped even the most optimistic expectations of my performance. Hopefully I can have a good race tomorrow to capatilise on this to prove to Stewart that they did right in hiring me for 1997.

Prince Walik has driven the race of his life and he now leads the race by 4.7 seconds over Gio van Dycke who surged from 15th all the way up to second. Martin van der Maeyede has continued his good qualifying performance but he has completely lost touch with the leaders. Daniel Moreno and Barii Mori have both fallen back while James Davies has made up three spots from tenth. Patrese and Baroncelli collided on the first lap, sending both to the pits for repairs. Takagi and da Silva also collided and have dropped to the back of the pack.

Daniel's performance was far more impressive than yours considering how illegal the Benetton was. And you were not even able to win in 1994
