Well, it's not really a secret, so I'll announce (a part) of his secret: he used the good old qualifying tyres which surely is worth a second or two.

So did I...besides, the Test Track is more about sheer raw power rather than good tyres. My time with the default-setup Zonda CS 7.3 (with qualifying tyres) was exactly 10 seconds worse than Salamander's.
Oh well, it does leave me puzzled but I'm not objecting the result in any way.
