Maybe not THAT dramatic but it is pretty bad (Plus, it was worth posting it simply because it's a great clip  )

It is indeed a great clip. It ought to be played each time he makes a gaffe...

Who? Clarkson or DC?

I don't see why not.

don't know, some people might not like this tactic, although it hapenned in reality quite often.

Question 2: if i don't use up my 4 allowed drivers in Monaco, can i transfer that 4th entry over to another race?

I was going to stop there anyway... This is indeed a decent thread that doesn't need this.

No. The Monaco Grand Prix doesn't count towards the entry cap.

Scuderia Ambrosiana would like to enter Giovanni Bracco for Monaco.

How many entrants can I have across the season?

Allright, then i will make full use of it, and enter a 4th car.
it will be Pagani's Maserati, but driven by Swaters(Garage Francorchamps) simply because it's the only car i have left.

A doubt:

This reality re-creation module will allow on certain way the famous event of 'shared drivings' or the simulation bars it totally?

Until I figure out a way of implementing it, it won't happen. Unless you tell me explicitly you want two drivers to share a car, and even then, the performance differential might be difficult to take into account, I won't do it. Of course, seeing as those would be the only pitstops that could happen, I'd add a time to the race to mark the stops.

Just to tell you all that the entry deadline for Monaco will probably be next weekend, so get your entries in now. I've settled on a Formula where the performance relies on: 17% engine, 17% entrant, 22% chassis, 44% driver ;)

For Monaco, three drivers' entries have been rejected: Toni Branca, Mike Hawthorn and Tony Gaze. Entrants have until Sunday to find replacements. Also, SuperAguri, you may want to confirm which drivers you'll be entering, or your reserved spots will be taken over.

To everyone: with Benetton gone AWOL, there is no one left to control the works Maserati team, so I consider the team up for grabs. Whoever takes it better do it fast, lest they not compete in Monaco.

Is there any driver enrolled to Maserati works for Monaco? (I don't know who is the official Maserati team since I didn't found them at the team line-up). If not, Scuderia Platé-Varzi would like to 'merge' the teams being that possibility good to be done

Maserati have not been entered for any race this season, so that's up to you. Should they merge, the resulting operation would be subject to the entry cap, so some drivers will have to be sacrificed.

My idea was to 'merge' the team (using the Platé-Varzi moniker) but effectively running the 'works' Maserati cars until Benetton or someone comes to claim the ownership and the rule of the team. Probably I would run the drivers that PV had already picked, unless if there are extra places due to any driver still available that formerly ran for Maserati.

I'd like to reconfirm my entry for this season, i.e:

At MONACO:
Andre Simon, Maserati 4CLT-8

From THEN ON including INDIANAPOLIS:
Franco Rol, Maserati 4CLT-8

And regarding the situation with Johnny Claes's team, Andre Simon is more than welcome to drive for Claes's team from Monaco onwards.

OK, but you won't get any relative advantage from running the cars in factory condition. Also, I believe Fagioli and Bonetto are still free agents, as Taruffi is now driving for Metcalf.

Rol's good, but I'd suggest you talk with The Lukas to get Simon for Monaco. I'd rather you find a backup driver just in case. Should The Lukas not give you permission to get Simon, I'll put your reserve driver on the list.

Then Scuderia Platé-Varzi (now effectively the Maserati 'works' running team for 1951 season) will pick Luigi Fagioli as its second driver for 1951 season, but he will not be attending Monaco, so he's added to the roster and to the entry lists, if it's possible to add, from Belgian GP onwards. If not, he is an immediate replacement to any driver not allowed to run in a given race

I have to withdraw from this for awhile due to lack of free time I will have in the near future. Either A) Someone can take over the Maserati works outfit or B) Maserati works team and support will be withdrawn completely.

I'll be back to this in some form in the future. Keep up the good work tommykl!

Option A has already been reserved. FantometteBR will be running Scuderia Platé-Varzi as a defacto Maserati works team ;)

The entry list for Monaco is now closed. I have decided to limit race distance to 400km, the distance reduced to 315km for Monaco, and 500 miles for Indianapolis. Monaco will therefore consist of 100 laps, Indianapolis of 200 laps, Belgium of 29 laps, France of 52 laps, Great Britain of 87 laps, Germany of 18 laps, the Netherlands of 96 laps and Italy of 64 laps.

OK, so I'm pretty much finished with qualifying, but I need to fill in some gaps.

I've got a list of what I've gathered to be your chassis-engine pairings for Monaco. New teams who haven't stated either are deemed to be making their own chassis and engine. If I have made a mistake, notify me before the end of the week, or the combination will be locked.

Current chassis-engine pairings for Monaco
Scuderia Maremmana - Ferrari-Jaguar
Phoenix Racing Organisation - Phoenix-Ferrari
Hampshire Racing Alliance - Alta
Alfa Romeo SpA - Alfa Romeo
Scuderia Platé-Varzi - Maserati
Scuderia Ferrari - Ferrari
Jaguar - Aston Martin Racing - Jaguar-Aston Martin
Ferrari America - Ferrari
Scuderia Belgio - Alfa Romeo
Equipe de France - Bugatti
Alexander Racing Team - Gordini
Motorsport Bleu - Talbot-Lago-Talbot
Team Metcalf GP - Metcalf
Scuderia Commesso - Commesso-Ferrari
Claes Racing Developments - Maserati
Scuderia Ambrosiana - Ambrosiana-Maserati
Garage Francorchamps - Maserati
Redman Racing Team - Maserati

Just to remind all of you that the deadline for confirming your chassis-engine pairing is Monday. Also, I abandonned the idea for random performance (dis)advantages for cars and drivers that would change every week, as the random performances set by driver's are enough to have a difference from race to race.

Ah yes. The Alta(s) used by the Hampshire Racing Aliance have Alta's own engine, a 1.5 litre supercharged 4 cylinder unit.
The 1990s were better. Fact. And you bloody well know it.
