Aerond wrote:Wizzie wrote:I get the feeling the MRT merger was part of the reason this budget cap was introduced
Hahaha... not quite. Let me explain what happened. The only teams to meet the Cap are Gillet and Dagnall at the moment. As Dagnall won both championships and with a substantial points amount the result was... Dagnall had practically as double as credits as Gillet and almost 10 times what a small team like Dofasco had!! So it wasn´t fair, that would give me an enormous advantage and would only make Dagnall´s domination in 2014 even bigger. So, seeing as some other teams nearly reach 1000 credits (MRT is one of them), and that is a good ammount of credits to operate, I decided to introduce the budget cap for the good of the series and the fun we all have with it.
MA-Racing: Alexey to start first race.
Alexey Pchelintsev has been given the earliest opportunity to show his worth in F1RWRS, by starting the first event alongside Matthias Valsattis. "Its been difficult trying to find experienced drivers, so to fill the gap for the first few events, Alexey will pilot our second car. I have faith in his skill and confidence. I'm not asking for miracles straight away, but his target is to he as close to Valsattis as possible. We will continue to search for a more experienced driver, but if Alexey proves himself quickly, I have no problems keeping him in the car for the remainder of the season."
Mr.Alexander was also eagerly awaiting news on the new chassis and engine list, as the season draws ever closer. "We have to aim for a fast package rathan than a reliable one. It's all well and good having reliability, but if your not fast enough to get out of pre-qualifying, what's the point in having it. I'd rather qualify for eddy race and never finish them then never qualify."

Yu Hiang-Hao Dofasco driver to next season
Team Dofasco Lukoil Racing, announced that Yu Hiang-Hao, will be the driver of the team in season 2014, Chinese driver in the previous season, drove in a Flying Fish Motorsports team also had to ride this season but that caused the withdrawal of the teamChinese was without a job.

You can send me your calculations if you want to and I will study where the difference comes from. Remember we agreed Horizon would only transfer half of their credits to MRT, and that Horizon aren´t entitled the 200 Cr. for TV Rights as they aren´t competing in 2014. The budget cap I introduced recently allows teams to only have 1000 Credits available.

Could you put the current version of the season rules on the first page? It'd be much more convenient and it'll stop people from having to refer to the 4th page.
Aerond wrote:2014 SEASON RULES (Small updates over 2013 rules)
* DRIVERS: A team can use up to 4 drivers during a season. Any driver will be allowed no more than 2 different stints during the season. Any PAY DRIVER must be confirmed as a Pay Driver before the season starts.
PAY DRIVERS RULING: Every Pay Driver pays the team 20 Credits per Weekend. Pay Drivers can´t be upgraded, and their performance points are random (within a range of 13000 and 14500), they will tend to be a little bit more inconsistent than Race Drivers as well. A Pay Driver must earn at least 10 championship points within a season before it can be unlocked and upgraded to a Race Driver (The team owner can chose to upgrade the Pay Driver or keep it as a Pay Driver).

Klon wrote:And here we go:
I am selling both Life chassis and the engine, that move gives me 100 additional credits.
Both Darren Older Jr. and Miko Fäkkinen are pay-drivers - I will allow myself to already add their 40 credits for the first race to my budget
This results in Tropico Grand Prix powered by CR Motorsport having a budget of 480 credits, which allows me to purchase the following:
OSELLA FA1L // 10000 // 2 // 6 // 680 // 200
YAMAHA OX88 // 540 // 4000 // 620 // 250
Note however that this will only be my combination if I am not allowed to make debts before the season begins, if my assumption regarding this happens to be false, I will take the following combination,
LIGIER JS33 // 9000 // 4 // 7 // 750 // 400
YAMAHA OX88 // 540 // 4000 // 620 // 250
That would put me at -170, which would be paid by the end of the first pay driver circle in combination with a Reject Of The Race.

I don´t know, they have to buy a chassis and engine firstI predict a way closer PreQ this season

MRT is left with 325 credits.

So do MRT get the extra 225 from the Horizon car sale (125 of which can not be used this year) or not?

No, if you sell your chassis after the engine change you would be left with 805 credits. So, Foxdale now has 635 with the engine change only.
