For this success to come we are implementing some very special regimes. John Nash looked fat and was eating way more than he could produce. At European, that will not do. Our standards are pretty much high and every team-member must not surpass a deficit of food eating - food producing capability of 3%. Nash's deficit was over 9% and he had already a high grapes interest so we could not loan him more potatoes. I know, it's complicated. Long story short, Nash is 50Kg and we are currently happy about his waist measures. It could be too much regime? No, of course not. There is no such thing as too much regime. And it his normal for him to fell dizzy since recession is expected in the first couple of weeks. We will wait for the start of the season to see if some improvements will be made in terms of new regimens or in the European machine.

The Aurora team is looking into possibilities of making Mils a bit faster. The team is very satisfied with Mitchell and his feedback about the car given during the test. This will be a good starting point. If developments can help the car stay in the upper midfield at least, it'll be a very good season.

Sunshine to spend funds

Sunshine have spent $55 on improving the Cosworth Zetec R, with tuning being done by Nismo.

They have also spent $33 on kicking the backside of Mitchell Winson in order he improves.

Autosport wrote:Gordini show off new engine.

Just before a freezing Silverstone test, Gordini showed off the new engine they have been working on, to the cynic it might seem like the Porsche 3512 engine with a Gordini badge but Gordini engineers have said the new engine has at least 40 more Bhp. They also showed off their new high nose front wing which does look a lot prettier then the old low nose with bits sticking out of it. We do feel it is a bit too late for Clio Racing to escape prequalifying but we believe they may have a fighting chance of getting out of prequalifying.

The final test will be on Monday morning (in about 30 hours from now...), this will show which 10 teams are good enough to be allowed in to qualifying proper and which 8 teams will have to spend Friday morning trying to prequalify in which 4 teams will take the early flight home. Although 2 drivers will also go home early after qualifying.

This will also decide the numbering system. Fighting Mongooses seem a shoe in for 0 and 2.

So get your upgrades in, especially you Dr-Baker and TheLukas as you do have a large pot of money.

You can also let me know who you number one driver is.

Foxdale would currently like to spend $/£/€ 124 on chassis improvements. Will protect budget for further improvements after first few races. Lead driver to be Florence Briggs, despite Leonhard being faster in testing so far. This to be kept under review.

You can do so, but spending more then 15% of your budget ($75) on any one thing in one go would be a waste of money, I will spend $75 on engine, $75 on Chassis and maybe you should spend $12.5 on each of your drivers to improve them. You can spend the rest of the money on ongoing improvements if you wish that way the car and drivers will improve over the year.

ZimSport will spend 15% of their budget (I'm too lazy to work it out) on chassis upgrades. Maybe it'll actually go around a corner...

Team Phoenix would like to spend all its budget on chassis upgrades. Our drivers have complained about the car generating too much drag on the straights, which hampers our powerful Audi unit, and we're not happy at all being 1.5 seconds off the pace.

50% of Benetton Formula's budget will be spent on the chassis upgrades. 40% is to go to the engine upgrades, and the 10% is to go to the drivers' salary. Both of them aren't asking for much.

You have 60 credits so you can only spend 10% of your budget and now you have nothing left. Unless you wanted to spend 15% of 60 which is 9 credits which might make you a tiny bit faster

All upgrades have been applied, some teams had better results then others. One poor team only had a 0.04% performance upgrade...

Silverstone Day one

Lavezzi had a shocker of a session in the morning, but made up for it in the afternoon where both the Clio drivers managed to come last, we are not sure why. Ben Fleet also had a awful session as he managed to spin and never looked confident from then on.

Silverstone Day Two

The morning session saw the usual suspects at the top of th timesheets with Briggs popping up in 7th, but her team mate was slowest at the bottom, Rhys Davies also had a trying session too.

The afternoon however say Rhys Davies post 8th fastest time with his team mate Barii Mori not really improving and ending up 2nd bottom overall. Schussler managed to hit a kerb, spin and go out on his outlap so posted no time.

ROTT : it is hard but I plump for Leonhard Von Gottorp for coming back down to earth with a bump after early impressive tests.

IDOTT : Dan Unser Jr for finally breaking the Fighting Mongooses domination.

DBTMOTT : Barii Mori still can't improve in the afternoon where as his team mate finds at least a second here and there.

These percentages are the average total of the best 4 times (2 by each driver) of the three test session as a percentage of the best overall lap. It roughly gives the percentage a team is off over the perfect lap time.

Indeed Kozco is a decent driver and has made the biggest improvement and you made 0.6% on the fastest time, so I think you can prequalify at least a good number of races.

Considering that European ERT had one of the lowest budgets to start with and has two pay-drivers it is amazing to see them this competitive. I should wait for the first race to see how they fare concerning reliability.

Theodore Roos wrote:Obviously I would've liked to have been fastest again, but 3rd is still not that bad. Our car is really good compared to the rest of the field, so while people like Unser might pop in a surprise, both myself and Ryan should have excellent chances in the opening few races at the very least.

Ryan in particular was quite annoyed that his IndyCar rival stopped him from topping the timesheets overall, but 2nd and 3rd are not bad no matter how you look at it. We're all really pumped for the first race to get underway now.

Stavros' early performances have been mediocre at best, (no EU jokes, I promise) but improvement is surely on the way. Our drivers have been inconsistent, unfortunately, but have shown decent promise occasionally. Our engine needs an upgrade, so we will spend 20 points on long-term development and hope for our equipment to get better.

Brazilian GP - Round 1/16 - Pre Qualifying Session

Clio Racing have improved leaps and bounds, Koczo coming 4th and Zetticci in a fantastic 7th to be the 3rd fastest team in prequalifying, what ever Zetticci was told seems to have paid dividends. Rhys Davies also finding the extra time needed to make Barii Mori look ordinary. Mann will be unhappy with Schussler who came last in the time sheets and ruined his chances of prequalifying, Schussler was all over the place, spinning twice and even breaking his front wing as he came into the pits. Russian Bears are well off the pace and their drivers need to find that extra speed.

You would need to spend 15% of your original budget ($1300) for long term improvememnts or $195 you have just under 10% so I would suggest spending 2.5% of your budget ($32.5) on yuor drivers instead. and maybe the rest on your engine or chassis?

Spend the $60 (10% of your original budget) credits you have either your engine or your chassis.

Brazalian GP - Round 1/16 - Friday Qualifying

The same names are at the top of the time sheets. McReynolds setting the pace early on. Benetton and European were within hundredths of each other. JLD will be asking questions about Gawron who was over 2 seconds off the pace of her team mate. Sunshine will also be asking the same questions. Melrose suffered a horrible high speed suspension failure, but footage showed that he was attacking the kerbs quite hard.

At the other end of the field, Leonhard Von Gottorp found 2 seconds since prequalifying, however the bottom 4 are really tight and Mitchell Macklin will be hoping for improvements tomorrow.

Brazalian GP - Round 1/16 - Saturday Qualifying

Donkervoort will be happy and sad at the end of the session, happy that Mallon was best of the rest in 13th but sad that Macklin managed one slow lap before his engine went up in smoke, leaving him no chance of qualifying. Briggs will be wondering why her team mate the 50 year old Von Gottrop managed to outqualify her.

Apart from that not too many surprises, although EXTRAs will be hoping they can improve or they could end up in prequalifying.

Brazilian GP - Round 1/16 - Grid

So TFM have the front row sewn up seperated by 6 hundredths of a secnd between them, then White is 3 tenths behind them half a tenth in front of Mitchell. Dan Unser Jr is only 3 thousands of a second behind. Then Benetton and European are behind, hoping that they won't run into one anouther. Mils is 6 tenths behind his team mate and will be hoping for points. Melrose did not go any faster after this suspension collapse where he was lucky to spin and run to the side of the track. Fleet is in 12th, again managing to spin at the last corner before he entered the pits. Patrese is a long way in fron of his team mate. Mallon doing brilliantly and splits the two Pheonix cars. Von Gottorp two places ahead of his team mate and will be hoping he has the energy to get to the end of the race, Winson in the Foxdale sandwich and a long way behind his team mate. Blackwell not looking to bright at this track down in 21st. Davies just about a second in front of his team mate but the former champ does not like being this far back on the grid. People will be debating if Gawron is F1 material, although we think it will be a short debate as she is down in 23rd. Koczo did improve on his pre qualifying pace and is in a comfortable 24th. Mori is the last person to qualify with Zetticci a second off him and Macklin not able to improve due to his engine failure.

We predict that a Benetton may win it as we believe that the Engines that Benetton have over 800 bhp and a good start could see them leading before the first corner.

KOBAYASHI for Scuderia Ferrari in 2013!
Captain Hammer : Kamui Kobayashi is perhaps the only driver who would be experienced enough for Ferrari to consider

Our drivers have been inconsistent, unfortunately, but have shown decent promise occasionally. Our engine needs an upgrade, so we will spend 20 points on long-term development and hope for our equipment to get better.

You would need to spend 15% of your original budget ($1300) for long term improvememnts or $195 you have just under 10% so I would suggest spending 2.5% of your budget ($32.5) on yuor drivers instead. and maybe the rest on your engine or chassis?

Oh, I thought it had to be 15% of my current budget... Anyway, yeah I would like to spend 32.5 on my drivers instead. The first qualifying of the year has been an extreme disappointment for us. Daniel Melrose is OK after his crash and is ready to race tomorrow.

Though we must say Mallon has impressed us with his driving skills. And Macklin, well... we forget to put an engine in his car, and were making car noises so he wouldn't notice, and he still manages to get an engine failure???
