I just want to report that Shinobu Katayama had problems on her car but that didn't stopped her from putting a brave lap to still qualify. I am convinced that she will turn around her fortunes in the race. As for Kay Lon, it was refreshing to see some commitment from him since I admit that with the car reliability being what it is, it may be hard to keep motivation going. Let's hope the car manages to hold together...

I am quite content with my lap today, especially since I struggled with the car at first. Somewhere around the five-minute mark I finally got a good feel for the car and was able to do a great lap. Shin had problems, which does not bode well for the reliability of the car on Sunday. However, the team is confident that tomorrow will give us a decent result.

Prospec in Vantini pursuit

A source within the Prospec F1RWRS team has revealed that the Kent-based outfit are actively seeking to sign Italian hotshot Rosco Vantini as they seek to finalise their driver line-up for 2015. Vantini has been driving for the Falik Arrows team in F2RWRS this season, and his performances to date have evidently impressed senior figures at Prospec. Team principal Gary Cameron refused to comment on speculation during the Belgian GP weekend, but with an offer already tabled for controversial veteran Kay Lon, it appears that Jean-Luc Schiller's position in the team is becoming increasingly precarious. His poor performance at Spa, which was the chief cause of the team's fourth failure to pre-qualify of the season, will have only weakened the Swiss driver's position.

Well, it's another retirement for me ... at least this race was reasonably fun, overtaking like it's noone's business. Well, about my spin - Douglas closed the door there a bit too much for my liking, but I shouldn't have stuck with that maneuvre, I just had not a proper position. It's what I personally would call a classic racing accident. No hard feelings on that part. Currently we are investigating what happened with the suspension. You media guys speculated that it was a result of the spin beforehand, but I don't believe that, there was nothing wrong with the car afterwards, it didn't feel different at all.

Well, if that's the case, then I'm terribly sorry. I guess I was just preoccupied with what was happening up ahead and didn't check my mirrors or blind spot. Plus something did not feel quite right with the car, which caused my spin.

That mistake from myself cost us what would have been a solid double finish for the team, but nonetheless, Daniel's brought the car home on the podium once again, which is great to see. I'm delighted that the upgrades we brought to the engine this weekend have paid off with more points, which can only be a good thing. We're now 14 points adrift of the constructors' championship lead, so I think any success there is out of the question, we just need to keep scoring points, and stay best of the rest behind DGN, MRT and Gillet.

I was disappointed to be three laps down but 3rd is another bonus mark for me and I am sure Sunshine will do well this year.

I had my car set up for the wet but due to issues I could not do a lap in wet running, but I hope for better things in the wetter race.

I am sorry for my horrible running, I had issues with the car but I hope to salvage a point or two if luck goes my way.

Could you two chumps [Arrowtech Drivers] drive any slower? There is a talented driver called Rosco Vantini that wants a seat and will get one for the 2015 season...

[After Race]

A car fault put me out of the race early but again the team is celebrating again with Steele getting 6 well earned points and is equal 3rd in the championship. A win seems so likely this season. Kamaha is back baby!.

I fought hard and was rewarded with a point. I feel sorry for Kay Lon but we will finish well this season again.

There are no words to describe how disappointed I am in Daniel Martins.He must love coming last or something. I will be persuading the Fox to fire Martins as he is past his prime and replace him with a talent such as Rosoc Vantini.

Rosco Vantini in demand.
After press reports that Prospec were keen on the services on F2RWRS driver Rosco Vantini and with Prince Falik keen to get Vantini in at Arrowtech, we also hear that other teams, Team Phoenix, American Racing and even Mitie are keen on the services on the steady Vantini. He will be a driver in demand for 2015.

Prince Saeed Al Faisal looking for a drive.
After being sacked from the underperforming Mecha, Saeed Al Faisal was seen hanging around the Prospec and Mitie garages. Saeed Al Faisal scored points in the 2013 season but complained of the rubbish car that Mecha had. He has talent and money so some of the smaller teams may want him, although he was thought to have commented to a friend that if he fails to find a seat for 2015 then he will retire but he will do Le Mans again this year.

Prince Falik to sell stake in Arrowtech?
A source in Arrowtech tells us that Prince Falik may sell his 50% share in Arrowtech if Daniel Martins is kept on for the 2015 season. Falik is disappointed at the lack of talent shown by Martins as he came in last of the runners and 2 laps down at the Belgium GP, 2 laps down. He has also only score a single point despite his team mate scoring 8. Falik is keen to get Rosco Vantini, the 2013 Italian F3 champion and current runner up in F2RWRS into Arrowtech and is urging the Fox to sign him, it is alleged that Falik has threatened to sell his share in Arrowtech and buy into another team if Daniel Martins is not fired at the end of the season or manages not to score a lot more points. More as this story breaks.

I've always loved Spa and it's been a special part of my career as it was here that I got my 2005 title challenge back on track and here where I scored my first F1RWRS race win in 2011. Unlike last year where I had the pace to win it, I was struggling slightly with car balance but what can you expect in the wet conditions? I managed to out-gambit everyone else for that third place which if I'm not mistaken is my fourth podium of the year. While the championship may be out of reach for now, I'm very happy with the team and hopefully we can keep building to a strong end to the year.

As for Nathanael, I've given him a chance and having actually driven the car at the Nurburgring at the MRT launch in the pouring rain, I honestly don't see what the hell his problem is. And this is coming from someone whose only half-decent in the wet.

Fantastic race! The car somehow pulled itself together and finished in a great position. We just need to nail the reliability some more, that's all we need to compete for the championship here.

A fantastic drive from Ron, considering the circumstances! The car was superb in the rain, I might have finished but the wheel fell off again after a pit stop cycle. I couldn't have asked for a better performance. Well, maybe for a performance as good as the one in Britain, but you know what I mean.
