I got programme signed by both drivers. Pic seems very shy and quiet, I think mainly cause he dont speak fluent English. I got a Glock 'driver' card (well thats what I call it), gives his stats, a bit bout himself etc. Its signed too!

That woman has made me decide I do not wish to become old. 70 would be the maximum age I'd choose to live to, because I live in fear of incontinence and dementia.

Agreed, I think they've done a solid job considering the perils they were in a couple of weeks ago. In comparison to HRT who seem to have all sorts of problems if Karthikeyan's soundbites are to be believed, Marussia haven't done a bad job at all. Being competitive with Caterham though looks out of the question though. Their best hope will be a race with lots of attrition which may allow a few points giving them a jump on Caterham. It's a long shot though.

Bit mundane I know, but Marussia tied up a number of deals prior to the Australian GP with partners, sponsors and suppliers, some new, some renewed.

The most important of these is the renewed deal with CNBC because of their exposure on the cars, it's clearly a fairly substantial deal, though it's good to see the team getting out there and signing up new deals all the time. They clearly have a good marketing department!

Not sure (with the exception of CNBC) how many of these deals will see new logos on the cars, but either way it's all positive news!

This seems like an apt switch for a team like Marussia - from the kit supplier for the mighty Italian giants AS Roma to the Swiss nobodies who supply perennial Premier League rejects Wolverhampton Wanderers!

Well if you're going to be a reject team, you might as well do it properly!

So after a bit of a slow start to the weekend, Marussia emerge with their joint best result with Glock in 14th. It has to be up there as one of their best ever races, considering where they were prior to the weekend. Their pace is still a long way from even Caterham though - they were a good two seconds back in qualifying, though that may come down slightly with further set-up work and hopefully with upgrades to the car over the year. With Caterham once again struggling with reliability, Marussia need to strike and grab some good results in their absence, and that's what they've managed to do in Australia. I can't see points being scored though, and a realistic challenge to the midfield will have to wait until 2013. Good to see the doomsday predictions proven wrong though.

I was kind of disappointed that Glock finished a lap down. If he was on the lead lap, he would have been classified 13th ahead of Maldonado, which would be crucial in securing a place in the WCC, since it came down to 13th placing last year. In fact, if Glock had finished 13th, Marussia would be 9th in the WCC ahead of Williams, Caterham and HRT.
