It's a 50/50 split between Jeremy McClean and SuperAguri. Which is exactly why Melrose left the team in the first place

It's irrelevant anyway, the exact wording of the regulation is "one team per series per user", therefore 50/50 splits are not exempt (Jeremy McLean has partial control of two teams) and this would still be a breach of 2015 regulations.

If Jeremy is in breach of the regulations, then so is SuperAguri. Oh man, this is going to get ugly

Nope, JeremyMclean owns ArrowTech. He created the team, an continues to run it. SuperAguri's Prince Falik came on board when Jeremy wanted to sell the team, but has control only over sponsorship, livery, and other trivial matters. Ultimately the member who decides the chassis and engine for a team is its 'owner' and therefore JeremyMclean owns ArrowTech.

Bear in mind also that some of the higher-placed teams currently in pre-qualifying will escape for 2015. If ARC continue their abysmal form they'll almost certainly drop into it next year, and along with the two new entries we'll have, will mean that only a further three current teams will be in prequalifying. They will almost certainly be Tropico, Shonan, and probably Mecha. (That's assuming I've correctly assumed that 6 teams compete in prequalifying!)
That's right Eddie, that was me with the banner, Spanish GP, 2002. This pile of legal forms won't fill itself in you know...

Hmm...no pre-quali for Scuderia Alitalia at the start of next season?

It´s 9 teams competing in prequalifying, 6 of them sitting out for the rest of the weekend.

With 9 teams in prequalifying, it should be new teams and the worst teams from last season going into prequalifying. The only two teams that are yet to prequalify for a race are Shonan DMS and Tropico, and they will probably stay there. This added to around 3 new teams for next year means that four more teams will be fighting to avoid prequalifying for next year. Kostas, that means prequalifying for Scuderia Alitalia ;)

Bugger. No wonder Scuderia Alitalia were so desperate to sign up a good qualifier like Ben Fleet. At least he'll have a good chance to display his qualy skills before gaining more race DNFs... So long as his teammate proves to be an adequate qualifier too?

David Koczo is the contracted driver for next year. I have even invested my own team's credits in his qualifying performance. If you review the pre-qualifying sessions since Scuderia Trueba Alitalia was founded, you will see that Koczo has outqualified his team-mate at every single race. So yes, he's a good qualifier.

So although the team may well be in pre-qualifying, Ben Fleet ought to feel sure that the team will get through? Good, good. 8-)

I really ought to follow how well everybody else is up to, not just focus on my own team and drivers...

The worst kept secret in the F1RWRS was confirmed today when four tIme World Champion Rhys Davies was signed to a two year contract with MRT for 2015 and 2016 with the option of a three year contract extension should the Australian choose to take it up. It's been public knowledge that MRT boss and fellow former four time World Champion Daniel Melrose has lost patience with his lead driver Nathanael Spencer after the Brit had a series of high-profile incidents over the course of the year. While Davies has a contract until 2016, his future teammate Phillippe Nicolas' contract ends at the end of next year and with his boss' Melrose's contract with Jones Racing up for renewal this year for only a one year extension, it opens up the mouth-watering prospect of two multiple time world champions in Melrose and Davies teaming up in the future. Neither Melrose or Davies were available for comment.

Spencer was effectively a 'Persona non grata' at MRT since Brands Hatch actually

Considering you have benched both Spencer and Nicolas this season, I would be tempted to say Daniel Melrose is a very short tempered person and is the worst racing manager in RWRS :P

The first part is entirely correct. However, considering he's hauled the team from the mire of DNQ to Championship leaders in one season it's entirely debatable whether there's a method to his madness or not

Well, you wanted it (or didn't, not like I care or anything :P ) and now you are going to get it:

~~~ 30th November 2014 ~~~
~~~ 2014 F1RWRS Luxembourgian Grand Prix ~~~

F1RWRS's first endurance events would like to invite all (potential) team owners to the return of F1RWRS to the famous Nürburgring as part of a non-championship race. As part of the year-long celebrations of the 30 year anniversary of the new GP track, the F1RWRS cars will be fitted with special suspensions provided by Dallara and extra large fuel tanks in order to manage 85 laps around the Nordschleife. The necessary workload will be in part payed for by sponsors Krombacher and SWR.

Official entry list - numbers assigned in order of entry:
Pemberton Prospec Racing
#0: Michael Cameron / Nathanael Cameron
#2: Du Lei / Tomo Kazama

Valvoline Holden Racing Team
#3: Frank Zimmer / Tommy Nash
#4: Poppy Whitechapel / TBA

Foxdale Auto Racing Team
#5: Pippa Mann / Douglas Mann
#6: Ben Fleet / Martin McFry

Virgin Melrose Racing Team
#7: Rhys Davies / Nathan McKane
#8: Phillippe Nicolas / Mitchell Macklin

Tropico Grand Prix powered by CR Motorsport
#10: Alberto Cara / Chacko Palaniappan
#11: Renaldo Jimenez / Mika Fäkkinen

Parma Corse
#12: David Kozco / Andrej Kremnicky
#13: Basitaan Van Nieuwenhuijzen / Gianluigi Pazzini

Donkervoort Automobielen
#14: Gio Van Dycke / Wouter Lamberigts
#15: TBA / TBA

Mitie Aviation Racing
#16: Matthias Valsattis / Ashley Lilly
#17: David Neuberg / Scott Davidson

Castrol Jones Racing
#18: Sammy Jones / Terry Hawkin
#19: Daniel Melrose / Kay Lon

Mecha Grand Prix
#20: Steven Mackintosh / TBA
#21: James Davies / TBA

Dofasco Racing
#22: Tomislaw Tajner / Sebastian Groves
#23: Iulian Pitea / Jan Maylander

Gillet Ecurie Nationale Belge
#24: Thomas De Bock / Laurent Seron
#25: Aurelien Moll / Eric Swerts

Arrowtech
#26: Mirko Bosevic / Nathanael Spencer
#27: Daniel Martins / Rosco Vantini

Alright, lads, here it goes. It is really simple, everyone who has a team or more in F1RWRS or F2RWRS or is on the waiting list for F1RWRS entries can join here. Since I am not aerond, i.e. lazy, there will be no prequalifying so only 14 teams can participate. Please send the following in a mail to me:

Team Name:
Car #1: Driver 1/Driver 2
Car #2: Driver 3/Driver 4
Bitmap: A link to download your car bitmap.

You don't have to present four drivers immediately, it suffices if you name at least two of them. And every team, except Mitie, will have to give me a bitmap to work with. Well, here we go...

Why would a celebration of the GP track warrant a few laps around the Nordschleife? Still, sounds reasonable.

You don't have to present four drivers immediately, it suffices if you name at least two of them. And every team, except Mitie, will have to give me a bitmap to work with. Well, here we go...

Can we post on here instead, so everyone knows who's entering, or do we definitively have to email you?

Well, I guess it won't hurt if you were to post it in this thread. If you want to post here, I won't stop you.

All F1RWRS teams, including those on the waiting list for next season, can enter. Again, it'll be three drivers per team max this year, and this race doesn't count toward eligibility for competition in the F3RWRS either ;)

My last post was for the Nurburgring race.

My entry for the above-quoted race:

Team: Foxdale Auto Racing Team
Car 1: Douglas Mann
Car 2: Pippa Mann
Car 3: Martin McFry

Plus a fight between DGNgineering and Suderia Alitalia for Ben Fleet's services!

Is this going to be before or after Indy?

Good question, I have given the date - sadly I do not know when the season ends this year, but I'd say it's after the Budweiser 800.

For Budweiser 800:
Tropico Grand Prix powered by CR Motorsport
Car #1: Miko Fäkkinen

For the Nürburgring race:
Tropico Grand Prix powered by CR Motorsport

Car #1: Alberto Cara/TBA
Car #2: Renaldo Jimenez/TBA

Despite not having an official entry for 2015 (5th on the waiting list or so), Donkervoort Automobielen bv (run by F2RWRS-team Ronden Racing Engineering) will test their car in both non-championship races.
Car 1: Gio Van Dycke (both) + Wouter Lamberigts (endurance only)
Car 2: This could be your driver! (TBA + TBA)
livery? Well, i want something slightly similar to my F2RWRS livery, but in red-gold-white instead of blue-orange-white and not as much sponsors (Lotus Bakeries, Chimay red, Delta Mossel and a Donkervoort Logo)

can i use F2RWRS drivers without official F1RWRS-license in the endurance?

Prospec will be competing at Indy, with Michael Cameron taking the third car alongside Jean-Luc Schiller and Du Lei. Yes, when I say Gary Cameron is retiring after Zandvoort I mean it definitively.
