Jason Hamilton will race Kimi's Citroen C4.

Also, I have decided not to run any other cars yet so Jason Hamilton will be Red Bull's only driver.

I'm not sure I really understand the choosing a rally car is all about? But I will pick the Colin McRae R4.

But since the teams championship is abolished, Team Ultimate will split in to "Team Ultimate GB" for Matt Older and "Team Ultimate de France" for Sebastian Prost

Although I'm absolutely terrible at Trackmania, being a rally fan I have to give this a go! I'll take Henning's Fiesta WRC, under the team name Not exactly an Expert Rally Team with Rick Simpson, the younger cousin of Dave, who's very desperate for a drive in anything, behind the wheel.
Scorpion Racing - gonna rock you like a hurricane in 2014... hopefully.

Brad Jacobs will have the Rothmans 959 Porsche please.

Does the car choice impact on overall performance or is it simply a different skin so we can identify with each team?
That's right Eddie, that was me with the banner, Spanish GP, 2002. This pile of legal forms won't fill itself in you know...

Identity only. Despite the fact in real life a Delta S4 would have a DS3 R3 for breakfast in a straight line, and the nimble little R3 would gain in the corners on the S4 which took corners like a boat, in Trackmania all cars have identical performance files. All. So it's visual only, but a feature it sounded like some people wanted so I implemented it. It doesn't matter if you don't have it while driving, the important thing is it will show up when the highlights are posted to YouTube :)

Oh, then that's perfect, I really wouldn't like to use a skin pack because presumably the actual physical car dimensions are still in the shape of the single seater and I like to see where the corners of the car are at all times (can't use the "nose cam")

Annoyingly I had written that down already, then deleted it thinking that 'I shouldn't be presumptuous about car choice, I'll leave it until Aerond says so'. Darn!
BTW, considering your team name, I did look for the Corolla WRC, but they didn't have one. Sorry

To keep things simple for myself, results will be posted on the Wiki instead of here. All stage times and overall rally times will be available on each rally page, all of which can be found on the 2015 season wiki page. The only thing results-wise that will be posted in this thread is the championship standings in full.

I should also point out the championship will always be 'live', i.e. there will always be an event going on. As soon as one rally ends on Sunday, a new one begins on Monday. But remember, everyone has two weeks to complete all six stages, so people will naturally have 'breaks' between events anyway. As for highlights, I expect them to be out around a week at most after a rally is complete. I had planned for all events to be broadcast in HD, but I'm having some issues with encoders on my PC so this may not happen.

Looks like Matt Older is interested in a full season, we had another crack at the prologue and he managed to get a semi decent time :).

We tried to get an online server running but it appears only people within the LAN can get in with a free account. So there is a possible 3rd member of Team Ultimate team but this is one of my brothers friends so the details are sketchy at best. Update, Team Ultimate will be a 3 car operation this season, with a 2nd entry in Team Ultimate GB.

It is possible to buy a server, but it costs money/coppers to do so, and I don't really see the point as solo competition means people can drive whenever without spending a penny. Hence why I have no intention of setting one up for the championship. But I'll see if any of my buddies over at Team WRC have any servers sitting idle unused.

Edit: No said idle servers exist. So no multiplayer arranged by myself I'm afraid.

I also require a car choice and class nomination from the following drivers;
Matt Older
Chris Bowman
Mateusz Wantulok

Can they please choose a car from the list on Page 1 & indicate whether they are Trackmania newbie or not.

Team Ultimate GB
Matt Older, Subaru (David Higgins) (JRRC)
Marcus Hood, Subaru (Travis Pastrana) (JRRC) (You spelt the name wrong in the wiki!)

Both of them are rookies really, Older has rally experience, but it is confined to local short hill climbs whilst Hood only rally experience ended up in the trees.

Hang on, are competitors in the JRRC capable of scoring points in the main championship?

Question. My brother managed to find an extra second on the Prologue stage overnight so will I be able to send you that replay as well or will you only use his first time?

EDIT: On that note, I've also managed to shave nearly three seconds off my time. Still almost a second off Joel's pace though :|

Which pretty much proves my point that he is the faster of the two Melrose brothers but can't string more than about 2 laps in a row together if his life depended on it

Seriously, one frame I'm going in a straight line, the other I'm doing HWNSNBM knows how many barrell rolls because I didn't turn for a hairpin that was miles away in the first frame.

I have been getting odd lag spikes occasionally on the prologue, on the longer tracks you may have to tone down the level of scenery.

Here are a few steps in settings you can take;
Reduce the display resolution to something like 800x600. It won't look pretty but it will make it run smoother. Then go into 'Advanced' and select the Low Quality preset. Hopefully that sorts performance issues.

TMRRC OFFICIAL STATEMENT: RULES CLARIFICATION

After it was brought to the commission's attention by a competitor, there is an opportunity for cutting in the Prologue. The nature of the series is simple; pass every checkpoint, and then cross the finish line. There is no set order in which the checkpoints must be taken, meaning any and all routes between checkpoints are valid.

Name:Fabian Rei
Car No.:#20
Team:Pan-Asia Rally Team
Car:Wilson's Escort RS

What nationality should I put down for driver and team? I know it says "Pan-Asian" but which one of said counties is the team based.

Sorry. The team is based in Malaysia but Rei is South Korean.

Anyway, the Prolouge is an amazing track. The only real problem I have is at that first chicane.I always seem to carry too much speed or end up on the wrong line and lose tons of time.

I'm not that good at Trackmania but I'm not a novice so Bowman is not eligible for the Junior class. He will drive Auriol's Castrol Toyota (I love that livery!)

Also Kostas, I've got a saved replay but I'm holding back on sending it because I'm sure I'm leaving a few seconds on the table. Should be done by Friday.
Stop creating ROTR threads on Wednesdays! This is why Captain Hammer got the hump if anyone did it that wasn't him!
