The place for speaking your mind on current goings-on in F1

Here's your chance to make a difference. And what a difference! For 15 euro only you can contribute a photo for Red Bull's one-off livery, which will be used at Silverstone and feature 25.000 photos all over the car. So make the silliest face you can, have your friends take a picture of your timeless visage and send it to Red Bull along with a donation to help make their cars the ugliest ones on the grid. As a small bonus the money will go to the spinal cord injury charity Wings for Life. You could spend that money on ice cream, which is very tempting but you could be a part of something greater.

Michael Schumacher: Sorry about that Frank, I saw a Brazilian in a Williams and I couldn't help myself, by the time I realised it wasn't Rubens we were in the gravel.

Oh, nice.
Speaking of which, why do people think the 2007 Wings for Life livery looked bad? It was genuinely nice.
Sticking his neck on the line, one post at a time. Oh, and Singapore is still better than Monaco.

It was a good idea for all the faces, but it looked awful IMO.

It's arguable that the faces idea was better than the alternative that they ran in Brazil 2008

If it didn't have any brown on it, then chances are it'd work as a livery. Not that it mattered much as Nakajima punted DC into the wall after two corners

That's the first time I've ever gotten a good look at that livery. I, actually, like it.
Although I want the Yellow RB that Row-Man-Gross-Jean made for his colouring books to be a reality first before another Wings For Life happens.

Hummm... Aero appendices. I do miss them!

Colin Kolles on F111, 2011 HRT challenger: The car doesn't look too bad; it looks like a modern F1 car.

I dunno, I kinda like it. Though the car itself looks like a goddamn abomination - so glad all those winglets and aerodynamic tidbits don't exist anymore.

The faces livery just looks like TV static. There's everything at once so there's nothing to catch the eye. I can't see the forest or the trees.
Why not pay an artist to go Van Gogh on the car? Make it really stand out, even if it uses non-corporate colors... or let kids paint it. That way nobody can bitch about it.
I just see no livery at all there, which is a shame because one-off liveries should be memorable. That's why i ridiculed it.

They looked ungodly amazing on some cars though, namely the F2008 and the MP4-23.
A shame that it didn't work well w/ DC's final livery. If one was to put it on, say, the 2006 car or one of the newer cars it'd probably be one of the best looking cars of all time.
And hey, least it's not
this. Dear lord, that was almost disgusting.

Looking at that Red Bull reminds me how much I don't miss those stupid aero add-on's. Took me a while to find the F1 car under all that crap...

I'm afraid we'll have to agree to disagree. Not one car from 2007-08 looked even remotely good to me - with the exception of both Super Aguris, of course. I'd take that 2010 car any day. The off-putting rear wing is a small price to pay, as far as I'm concerned.

I respect your opinion. I already get a lot of flak for disliking the pre-Senna era cars.
