After Bleu finishes answering that question we'll have another Trivia question. The question is:
Which 2 current Formula 1 Drivers DID NOT win a major single seater feeder catagory (not karting or FF) before making it into Formula 1?

Piquet and Buemi? Even if he isn't one, Buemi is doing a stellar job in F1 as far as I'm concerned. He never impressed me much in GP2 or Euro F3.
Nissanymania! Friday has never been the same since.

1 out of 2 Reject Steve. Piquet won the 2004 British F3 championship.

I don't actually know the answer to this one for certain, but I was randomly wondering... who has had the most past-or-future world champion team-mates? Is it Nigel Mansell? He had 6, I think - Andretti, Rosberg, Piquet, Prost, Hill and Hakkinen.

I must have forgotten Button because Webber didn't win any major single seater catagories either.

Hill is also close with 4. Prost, Senna, Mansell, Villeneuve

Prost also makes a strong case with 5. Lauda, Rosberg, Senna, Mansell, Hill.

Hmm, the williams merry-go-round had a lot of champ-pairings in the late eighties and early nineties :O

I've also wondered, who has had the most reject-teamies?

Moreno? He has Fabre, Raphanel, Bertaggia, Langes and McCarthy.

Moreno wasn't team-mate for Fabre, he replaced Fabre.

I found that Tarquini has five: Winkelhock, Dalmas, Barbazza, Chiesa and van de Poele.
non-reject drivers:
Herbert has also five: Zanardi, Lamy, Adams, Fontana and Burti.

Here's an easy question: None of Michael Schumaker's teammates won the WDC during or after a stint as his teammate. Who came the closest to a WDC?
And before everyone goes Nelson Piquet Senior note I said DURING or AFTER a stint as his teammate and not before.

The legendary Roberto Moreno drove for Coloni, Eurobrun, Andrea Moda and Forti. He also drove for AGS, which is not profiled yet.
Betrand Gachot drove for Onyx, Rial, Coloni and Pacific.

The third driver, I need to research.

Nope, but the nationality is correct. So we're looking for an Italian driver.
Also, just found another question. Who is the only driver killed in a racing accident that is featured in the Drivers Index of this page?
These two questions are unrelated, just making up some I-think-they-are-good-questions from the site.

I think its Andrea Montermini who drove for Simtek, Pacific, Forti, and tested for lola (and was the first to see this car was awful) in 97 pre season testing.

That shows just how much talent Moreno actually had, especially scoring a point with the lousy AGS (albeit through the DSQ of Senna) in 1987! Too bad he was badly neglected by better teams apart from that 13-race stint with Benetton (where he scored an excellent second place right in his first race with them).

Absolutely!
Great driver, supremely talented and a nice guy! Test driver for Lotus and Ferrari (picked by Colin and Enzo, respectively, not many people can lay claim to that!), won the Intercontinental F3000 championship on a shoe-string budget and was finally able to show what he was worth at Benetton in 1990, where he promptly finished 2nd. Plus, he was the perfect size for a racing driver!
I don't think there are many drivers who could have dragged the Coloni C3 onto the grid in 1989 or the Andrea Moda in 1992 like he did. Oh and the EuroBrun running at the front in first free practice at Phoenix in 1990!

Marc Gene, Tiago Monteiro, Anthony Davidson and Markus Winkelhock deserve special mention - no laps in 4th place but all have laps in higher position.

Great job, pal!

And an easy one to end this marathon of SQL queries: Who of them never finished higher than fourth? who is the most frustrated one?

Gachot never qualified with Rial and Coloni. Montermini never made it to the race with Simtek and Lola.

Gabriela Tarquini must come close third behind Moreno and Montermini.

Tarquini drove for the rejects Osella, Coloni, AGS and Fondmetal.

Looking at those numbers I'd say Karthikeyan, then Da Matta (three 6th) and Klien (1 5th, 1 6th)
Sorry guys, I had a little outing.
