Vettel vs Buemi
Alonso vs Heidfeld (The Renault's good but not THAT good)
Webber vs Alguersari (I predict an upset here)
Hamilton vs Liuzzi (Go home, Colin Kolles. And take Liuzzi with you)
Button vs Petrov
Massa vs Kobayashi (Kobayashi FTW)
Rosberg vs Sutil (As I see it the Mercedes is sightly less crap than the Force India)
Schumacher vs Barrichello (They'll find a way to collide with each other on lap 1)

Vettel will take the first one easily.
Heidfeld will put up a good fight, but Alonso will prevail.
Webber
Hamilton (was there really any contest here?)
Risky here, but the Renualt has got the measure of the McLaren, so incredibly, considering I'm a Brit, I find myself predicting a Petrov win here (Sorry Button :( :( )
Massa will be back (hopefully)
Rosberg surely...
And to round it off... Barichello   The Williams looks promising this year.
The 1990s were better. Fact. And you bloody well know it.

1. Buemi
2. Alonso
3. Alguersuari
4. Liuzzi
5. Button
6. Massa
7. Rosberg
8. Barrichello

I've gone for 1, 3 and 4 to be big upsets, becuase Red Bull have totally messed up in Oz last couple of years, plus Webber has a right home curse, and 4 simply becuase it would be really funny if it came true!

8 is the best match-up by a long way though!

Well, I'll predict as well:

1. - I have the feeling Vettel is going to retire in Melbourne, so Sebastien Buemi will proceed to the next round.

2. - Fernando Alonso, simply because the Ferrari will turn out to be (quite a lot) better than the Renault

3. - Unlike his team mate Mark Webber will finish, therefore he wins against STR.

4. - I'm going to say Vitantonio Liuzzi for the lulz.

5. - Well, the McLaren does not seem to be quite on the level and Button is the anthropomorphism of mediocrity. Vitaly Petrov wins.

6. - Felipe Massa by the power of the superior car

7. - Nico Rosberg will score a fabulous victory against Sutil

8. - "Good friends, better enemies" indeed, Rubens Barrichello will score the win. Maybe this will be the only bout which will be decided one-on-one on the track.

Vettel def. Buemi
Heidfeld def. Alonso (!)
Webber def. Alguersuari
Hamilton def. Liuzzi
Button def. Petrov
Kobayashi def. Massa
Rosberg def. Sutil
Barrichello def. Schumacher

If Liuzzi wins, I will be deeply shocked. The only way that can happen is if Hamilton DNF'ed again!

...and the results are in. At least, I've worked out who will play who in Malaysia. But I'll leave it to ADx_Wales to hand out the official result.

I dunno If i want to carry this on, the race was so bad that an apertura may be called for in real life.

Will deal with putting the eventual results in properly, but if Malaysia is going to be as boring as this morning was, I may not bother at all.
