Mass suicide? There is no mass suicide. See, this is a different cult. We "mass suicide" our cars like a proper motorsport enthusiasts. At the end of each season, we crash our cars in the most rejectful way and then post pictures... This year I decided to go a little earlier and already did my part. I went to drive in some mountains only for a snow storm to fall. I drove slowly, sliding my way down the mountain, until I found a bus in front of me. Then, while braking and even more slowly (about 30kph), I slid into the back of the bus. The car, in the end, looked more or less like this:

Try to beat that!

Well some of us forumites had a little track day at the end of last year. In true F1 Rejects spirit we chose to go on a rainy day. A few of us were showing off with some spins, scrapping the barriers etc. My contribution was to have a bit of a crash and a spin in my 911 going down the straight. A certain "Klon" obviously took that as a challenge because before I knew it, he had ploughed into the side of my car. Someone was lucky enough to capture the whole thing on camera: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kAyPQPva ... re=related

Hi guys,

I've been a fan of the podcast for few months after stumbling on them on itunes, and possibly the most original thing I've found in regards to F1 commentary. Anyway, time came I decided that I'd take the leap and actually join. Anyways, just thought I'd say hello, and see people around.
Murray: "This could give Mika Hakkinen his opportunity to get past Ralf Schumacher, as Nigel Mansell did to Senna in 1959."
Martin: "I was born in 1959; I think it was a touch later than that, Murray!"

Hello people,

I have begun listening to the podcast like a year ago, been lurking on the forum for the last three or four months, and finally took it upon myself to join.

I watch other sports besides F1, and always had an habit of cheering for the "underdogs". F1-wise, among my favorite moments were Ivan Capelli's 2nd in a March/Leyton House in 1991 (can't remember which GP right now), and Fisichella's flukey win for Jordan in Interlagos 2003. Reading articles and posts here told me of other fascinating stories, some of which I've seen but had forgotten, like the last win from Ligier in Monaco 1996.

I also have some infatuation for the back-of-the-grid teams, for some reason I think I can't explain. I remember the likes of Simtek, Pacific, and Forti well, but reading here told me stories about teams that didn't get any media at all here, maybe because the local media here was revolving around Ayrton Senna at the time. Life and Andrea Moda especially caught my attention, and... I chose my nickname and avatar based on very interesting antics I also read here: MasterCard Lola!

That said, I'm just another fan of F1, and I think I found here a very nice place to talk about it.

Think it's time to end this already long post...

Hello everyone

Big fan of Formula One engineering and im in love with the Lotus-Renault R31. Im studying Engineering at a New Zealand university. My dad almost got a job at Williams when we lived in England but was told he was over quaified. Anyways my Dad met Perry McCarthy and Martin Donnelly as he use to work at Brands Hatch and met many ex F1 rejects. I met Mike Gascoyne at goodwood of speed a while ago when he was working at Benetton which was amazing and also Jean Alesi. Im a big fan of the Forti FG03 car (which was just as advance as the Williams of that year) and I enjoy the underdogs of F1.
Nice meeting fellow F1 rejects fans.

Hello everyone!

Like the other members here, I consider myself a big fan of formula 1, but I also enjoy the entertaining failures of the sport!!

Having been a fan since 1997, I've been able to enjoy such rejects as Mastercard Lola, Ricardo Rosset, Yuji Ide etc. Good to see that Hispania seem to be writing themselves into reject folklore too!! Thanks to this brilliant website, I've been able to learn about other reject stories such as Life and Deletraz.

I look forward to discussing Formula 1 and its rejects with you!!

Hello from MansellsEyebrows,

Rather predictably I'm a massive F1 fan, but I love most forms of tarmac based motorsport on four wheels including touring cars and sports cars. I was a CART fan before that went down the toilet, and I'm longing for Badgerface Jordan to bring back his F1 team and his yellow cars back. I've always found reading about rejects very interesting as they often throw up wierd and wonderful tales, and I've been an frequent reader of F1 rejects for a while now, and I've lurked the forum on the rare occasion. What's evident to me is that everyone here seems to think about F1 like me, there seems to be more optimism and open mindedness than other motorsport forums for a start.

I look forward to not being a reject of the reject forums.

OK, though because there is no need for pre-qualifying I guess I'll have to keep myself within 107% of the forum norm otherwise I wont qualify :)
